LaJauge: Continuous Management of User Experience Quality
LaJauge is an innovative software solution currently under development, led by UXOP’s R&D team.
Designed as a SaaS platform, it enables continuous, structured, and collaborative tracking of results from user testing.
LaJauge provides an intuitive, dynamic workspace to visualise, classify, share, and leverage data collected during tests — both in real time and over time.
The goal:
turn observations into concrete, prioritised actions that are tracked longitudinally, for
sustained improvement of the digital customer experience.
The project’s genesis rests on a strong commitment: the Executive Committee of a major French corporation believed in our solution from the outset, supporting UXOP from the earliest stages of its R&D.

A Concrete Response to an Operational Need
LaJauge was born from a recurring observation shared with digital leaders at large companies.
While live readouts of user test results generate genuine interest, utilisation tends to drop off once results are frozen in a report.
Findings are soon
forgotten; problems are
partially corrected
— when they are corrected at all — and it’s not uncommon for
new issues to
emerge later due to a lack of consolidated follow-up.
UXOP identified a structural gap: traditional reporting formats enable neither continuous management nor effective cross-team coordination.
They are not designed to feed real-time decision-making or to enable broad contribution to the improvement of the digital customer experience.
LaJauge: A Tool Built for Action and Follow-Through
LaJauge aims to create a living qualitative reference of the experience your users actually have.
Thanks to the granular structuring of observations, the tool makes it possible to:
- Continuously track findings from user tests and their resolution over time
- Prioritise actions based on impact on the customer experience
- Facilitate information sharing across the relevant functions
- Capitalise on results cumulatively and reuse them in different contexts
The approach fosters a
management mindset
rather than a simple 'reporting' mindset, while creating a
shared language
around the quality of the digital experience.
An Approach Based on Atomic Usability Research
LaJauge is rooted in Atomic Usability Research, which involves isolating and documenting each observation from user testing as an autonomous unit of analysis.
These units can then be reused,
cross-
referenced, and put into perspective according to project needs.
This structuring breaks the sequential loop (study → report → amnesia) and establishes a
cumulative, transversal logic
that progressively and durably feeds product strategy.
An Advanced Take on UX Meta-Analysis
LaJauge extends UXOP’s prior work in meta-analysis of UX results by adding an interactive, operational, and collaborative layer.
The approach has been implemented with several
of our clients — particularly those needing a true monitoring system for qualitative study results.
With LaJauge, they now have a dedicated digital environment to ensure rigorous tracking and
consolidation of insights derived from user testing.

A New Step in the Development of LaJauge
After designing and developing a first version of its solution dedicated to Atomic Usability Research, UXOP is launching a new phase in the evolution of LaJauge, its software for governing user experience quality.
This upcoming version builds on the learnings accumulated over the many Usability Research studies conducted in recent years.
Its aims to offer a solution capable of addressing the real-world constraints of producing and making use of user test reports.
The objective is clear: make it easier to turn usage findings into operational decisions, ensuring a smooth handoff from qualitative analysis to
implementation within companies.
Toward the Systematisation of Atomic Usability Research
This new version of LaJauge aims to systematise the results from user testing while preserving the rigor and value of human expertise. It will:
- Input factual data directly into the software, drawn from the actual experiences of target users
- Structure and elevate the contributions of user experience experts — from test facilitation to observation analysis and statement of findings
- Optimise the processing and use of this data through artificial intelligence, never replacing human expertise, but reinforcing it
This evolution marks a key milestone in UXOP’s ambition to make Atomic Usability Research scalable, integratable, and governable at scale, for companies committed to the continuous improvement of their digital experience.
